THANKSGIVING 2013

Well, every year for Thanksgiving my cousins family and my family get together
and make/eat way too much delicious food.
Starting last year, my other family (in-laws family) joined in on the tradition.
This year there was a total of 18 (and a half - including E) of us, and we had such a ball!
In this 18, we got a special treat :) my cousin Sarah, who now lives in Florida with her husband, Myles (English husband, might I add - WITH an awesome accent), got to spend the day with us (THANKFUL)
I absolutely adore Sarah, and haven't seen her in years, so it really was a treat.
I also hadn't met Myles yet, so I was so excited to get to do so!
My darling cousin Melissa, who now lives with her husband in New York, also got to come visit!! Sadly, they weren't there for Thanksgiving, as they were with her husband, Corey's, family.
Just means we will have them for Christmas though!
So, anyways...
this year I have been given more to be thankful for than imaginable.
I am so blessed, and couldn't be happier.
Here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving/weekend!
I would just like to say that this is what I woke up to Thanksgiving morning.
Yeah.
You could say I'm thankful for this little boy.
First things first... Plan out E's outfits.
Arrive at mom's house!
Pre-feast pictures :)
^Sarah & Myles^
(how cute are they?)

Almost ready! Standing closer makes it cook faster ;)
I would just like to point out that Emmet weighs the same as that turkey (20lbs).
You can't go wrong.
Post-feast! Everyone got some cuddling in with E :)
The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to my Aunt's house to help with Christmas decorations
and to spend as much time as possible with our family visiting from out of town.
It was especially precious to see Mel & Corey with Emmet since they are expecting in March :)
I would just like to end on this note.
My grandma, Eema, showed me this from when I was a baby.
Do you see a little resemblance??

We had a fantastic thanksgiving, and hope you did too!
I wish it would have gotten more pictures of more of our festivities, but I was distracted in the moment. Not to mention - these are all via iPhone.
I think it's about time to get a nice camera!

So excited that it's finally the holiday season :) it's my favorite time of year!!

Ps here are a couple of pictures from my Thanksgiving with "MACKA"
(Moria, Aleisha, Caroline, me, Autumn)
So happy to have gotten a chance to get together :)
love those girls!!

WEEKEND OF PERFECTION!

I can't describe to you what a FABULOUS few days my family and I have had :) I'll start by saying, after a lot of applications, waiting, interviews and agonizing... It has totally been worth it!
My awesome husband got a new job and we are thrilled to be a part of the Luck Companies family!!!
The past few days have been a celebration, and we enjoyed Charlie on his weekend off
(especially knowing that next weekend will be his LAST weekend working)
Since my mom and stepdad are in Tawain (yes.. I'm totally jealous) visiting my big brother,
we have been house-sitting and taking advantage of the water.
We also got to have dinner with two of our absolute favorite people (Mark&Lynn).
Speaking of which - I am working with Lynn on a new opportunity that I am BEYOND excited about!! That will get its own post soon enough :)
You could say we are totally thrilled about everything that is going on!!
Here are a few pictures of our weekend.
It's been just what we needed.
Before I go on about the rest of the weekend...
it was just Halloween, and even though we didn't completely dress him up
(it's not like he can go trick-or-treating and eat candy)
we did put him in this cute little bear outfit.
Cutest bear I have ever seen.
I can't wait for next year - that's when we will really have fun with dressing up!
Now, to the lake!
We arrive to the lake house for our little getaway...
WOW
It was so beautiful.
Of course after we got the great news of Charlie's new job,
we celebrated with fishing!
(Ps I caught this, for the record!)
Emmet wants to go-go-go soooo bad!
He does not like to just sit.
I think as soon as he is mobile, my hands are going to be quite full!
E and I headed inside while dad fished some more.
Fixed a yummy green lunch full of seeds!
Just hanging out ^ doing baby things...
Headed to Whole Foods before dinner with our favorites.
Got these gorgeous flowers as the SMALLEST token of our appreciation!
(We love you guys)
Dixie was giving E some kisses :)
I love watching them together!
I get more nervous that E is going to hurt her than she will him.
I'm telling you... He has a ridiculous little grip! & she is just the sweetest!
Hadn't gotten a chance to brag on this precious little baby yet -
but check out Mark and Lynn's new love!!
Magic is the best puppy ever.
I'm sure I will have plenty more pictures of him to come :)
Sunday we headed to Charlie's parents house for a family day!
(Getting a little jog in while grandma had E) loving the crisp air!
Poor baby is teething hard!
I guess ^ this helps him cope.
It kinda kills me when he does it!
So cute.
One: I don't know why, but he loves to just be in his diaper and
two: STRONG BABY!!!
Because a sleeping baby is perfect. (those cheeeeks)
Picking on my lil sis ;)
I took Ray (my niece) off of "ma-moo's" hands for a little while so she could get some stuff done.
We had a good 'ol time!
^ bouncing baby. We have too much fun on the trampoline!
After chasing each other for like an hour...
I thought I wore her out!!
Nope.
She is the energizer bunny.
But she is wearing my tutu.
I can't even be mad about it!
Overall, it was a fabulous weekend :)
so happy happy happy
