THANKSGIVING 2013

Well, every year for Thanksgiving my cousins family and my family get together 

and make/eat way too much delicious food. 

Starting last year, my other family (in-laws family) joined in on the tradition. 

This year there was a total of 18 (and a half - including E) of us, and we had such a ball! 

In this 18, we got a special treat :) my cousin Sarah, who now lives in Florida with her husband, Myles (English husband, might I add - WITH an awesome accent), got to spend the day with us (THANKFUL)! 

I absolutely adore Sarah, and haven't seen her in years, so it really was a treat. 

I also hadn't met Myles yet, so I was so excited to get to do so! 

My darling cousin Melissa, who now lives with her husband in New York, also got to come visit!! Sadly, they weren't there for Thanksgiving, as they were with her husband, Corey's, family. 

Just means we will have them for Christmas though! 

So, anyways... 

this year I have been given more to be thankful for than imaginable. 

I am so blessed, and couldn't be happier.

I would just like to point out that Emmet weighs the same as that turkey (20lbs).

Post-feast! Everyone got some cuddling in with E :) 

The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to my Aunt's house to help with Christmas decorations 

and to spend as much time as possible with our family visiting from out of town. 

It was especially precious to see Mel & Corey with Emmet since they are expecting in March :)

We had a fantastic thanksgiving, and hope you did too! 

I wish it would have gotten more pictures of more of our festivities, but I was distracted in the moment. Not to mention - these are all via iPhone. 

I think it's about time to get a nice camera! 

So excited that it's finally the holiday season :) it's my favorite time of year!!

E'S FIRST DATE!

Today was a very big day for mister Emmet - he met his girlfriend for the first time!! Her name is Maeleigh Alana. Miss Mae is the daughter of one of my favorite mama's (Leigh Ann Elswick). I was so so so excited that her and her family got to come visit. It was not just Emmet's first time meeting Mae, but mine too! We both loved her :) (ps it was good to meet Devin, too)! Poor baby girl had just left Maymont's zoo, so she was exhausted (and so was her prego mama). We were originally going to go out to eat and the go back to Maymont, but we opted for just spending more time at the apartment and going out to eat. Either way, it was so much fun! Hoping to be able to spend A LOT more time with LA and her precious family veryyy soon ;) 

This was on our walk to lunch at Three Monkeys. How cute are our men? We were just having girl talk as they strolled behind us! Loved it. Love them. 

Yay for some Monkey Fries :) we made it!

After those 8 blocks...

Mae woke up for some food though :) precious girl. 

Once we got back, we were TRYING to get Maeleigh Alana to kiss Emmet on the head...Emmet was obviously very upset that it wasn't happening. 

Then after my husband took about 300 snapshots.....

We decided ENOUGH!

So we took a few of them :) how CUTE are they?!?

And yayyyyy!!! As they were leaving, they finally realized their love for each other and Emmet got his first kiss from his first girlfriend! Too. Stinking. Adorable. 

LA, we had so much fun with you and your precious family :) we can't wait to do it again!! We love you!!
