I decided that since our little family doesn't quite do something "blog worthy" every day, that once a week(ish), usually on a Wednesday (but today, a Friday), that I will just post some pictures that I have randomly take through the week - mainly of the famous little E. Obviously he is my main attraction :) 

So, here you go!

E'S FIRST DATE!

Today was a very big day for mister Emmet - he met his girlfriend for the first time!! Her name is Maeleigh Alana. Miss Mae is the daughter of one of my favorite mama's (Leigh Ann Elswick). I was so so so excited that her and her family got to come visit. It was not just Emmet's first time meeting Mae, but mine too! We both loved her :) (ps it was good to meet Devin, too)! Poor baby girl had just left Maymont's zoo, so she was exhausted (and so was her prego mama). We were originally going to go out to eat and the go back to Maymont, but we opted for just spending more time at the apartment and going out to eat. Either way, it was so much fun! Hoping to be able to spend A LOT more time with LA and her precious family veryyy soon ;) 

This was on our walk to lunch at Three Monkeys. How cute are our men? We were just having girl talk as they strolled behind us! Loved it. Love them. 

Yay for some Monkey Fries :) we made it!

After those 8 blocks...

Mae woke up for some food though :) precious girl. 

Once we got back, we were TRYING to get Maeleigh Alana to kiss Emmet on the head...Emmet was obviously very upset that it wasn't happening. 

Then after my husband took about 300 snapshots.....

We decided ENOUGH!

So we took a few of them :) how CUTE are they?!?

And yayyyyy!!! As they were leaving, they finally realized their love for each other and Emmet got his first kiss from his first girlfriend! Too. Stinking. Adorable. 

LA, we had so much fun with you and your precious family :) we can't wait to do it again!! We love you!! 

EMMET'S FIRST FOOTBALL GAME (of many)

It was a pretty spur of the moment thing to decide to go to the Louisa versus Goochland football scrimmage last night. Since we have a lot of friends from Goochland, we definitely wanted to go (mainly to show off our main man)! It ended up raining all day and the scrimmage was moved from the Jungle (Louisa's stadium) to Fluvanna High School's stadium. We were debating on going - after all, it was storming all day - but we opted to go ahead and go! Boy, am I glad we did. Since it had stormed we ended up with the MOST beautiful backdrop to the game! Of course I have pictures to prove! 

Seeing all of the cheerleaders and football players do their thing really took Charlie and I back and made us miss it!! It's crazy how fast things change. 

The cheerleaders :) who usually are in uniforms but Coach Meeks explained that these shirts were new (so, of course they had to be broken in + uniforms need sizing).

Probably my favorite photo of the night. I mean 1) look at the sky and 2) look at my husband showing off our baby. LOVE. 

Emmet was loving his first football game!! He was such a good boy. He didn't get upset once (even though I know he was hungry and it was past his bedtime). Plus, let me add, he looked adorable. 

Of course Emmet got all kinds of love from so many people; I just happened to get a picture of him with Miss Rebecca! He loved her (and since her and hubby were considering kidnapping him, I think they liked him alright, too)! 

I love my hubby :) we were having too much fun (is there such a thing??) in the car!! 

Overall, SUCCESS! 

Welcome to the football life baby boy - that was the first of HUNDREDS of games you will be attending :) I can't wait to show you off more! 

MEET BOO

So, I already introduced the family members! However, I did forget one - Boo (our kitty)! E wasn't quite sure what he thought of her at first, but he absolutely loves her now and their relationship is precious :) Boo always has his curiosity and attention. When she comes around all he can do is smile!!

This was their first interaction and I'm so glad I caught it! I can hear his thoughts! "Mama... What the heck is this?......Ooooo, I think I like it!!"

OUR INTRODUCTION

So, after following Rockstar Diaries, Taza and her darling family gave this mama inspiration to begin documenting her sweet little family's milestones! 2013 was my family's year - the ultimate year of milestones. We have been blessed to the max this year. This will also take us through the introductions of my family :) 

Charlie (my husband) and I have been dating since I was in tenth grade (5 years September 14). That is where the name of this blog came from - our high school mascot was the Louisa Lion and we plan on raising our son on our old stomping grounds.  Although we had some rough patches, we are more in love today than we ever have been. On October 2012, Charlie and I found our that we were expecting a baby in June of 2013. I will admit... this was quite the surprise! However, with our support system and God by our side, we were up for the challenge - even if it was a little earlier than we had planned. 

With the baby, which we later found out was to be a BOY, on the way, Charlie and I went into overdrive with getting everything settled and the way we wanted. Of course after four years of being together we planned on getting married (and yes, the wedding was already planned out in my head - and maybe on Pinterest, too) but now it was reality, and we needed to set the plans in concrete! We opted to get married August 10, 2013. Although I would have liked to be married before our baby, I wasn't digging a bump in my dress... 

So, as I don't want this post to be a book, I'll show you the rest of this story in pictures. 

Me and my high school sweetie; he was the football player, and I was the cheerleader. 

June 13, 2013, we welcomed our son, Charles "Emmet" Elkins, into our lives. He is 100% perfect. 

So, first comes baby, then comes marriage. August 10, 2013, we became Mr. And Mrs. Charles Elkins!!
